A Time to Laugh Dinner Gala and Comedy Night Fundraiser

Come laugh with us as Harbor House presents its 6th annual A Time to Laugh dinner gala and comedy night fundraiser. This year’s event features comedienne Jan McInnis, a.k.a. “the Work Lady” for her hilarious take on our world of work and corporate America. The spirit of A Time to Laugh is to remind us that through laughter, we find relief, happiness and health. For victims of domestic abuse, there’s often an initial feeling that they may never laugh again, but gradually, through healing, they find their paths back to recognizing and embracing the joy in their lives once again. Laughter and healing go hand-in-hand and that’s the message this inspirational event hopes to bring to its attendees.
When: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 23
Where: Grand Meridian, 2621 N. Oneida St., Appleton
How You Can Help: Attend the event: $75 per person or corporate sponsorship at $1,500 (table of 8) or $1,000 (table of 4). Try your luck at winning an exquisite diamond donated by Avenue Jewelers, as well as several other fun prizes this year.
For More Info: Contact Harbor House Communication and Development Coordinator Maria Turner at (920) 955-9119 or mariat@harborhousedap.org for more information or to sponsor a table.

Adopt-a-Family/Shelter a Success Thanks to Amazing Donor Support

Volunteer Coordinator Andrea Clark and House Manager Shelly Johnson send another huge thank you to all the individuals and businesses who contributed to Harbor House’s annual holiday Adopt-a-Family/Adopt-a-Shelter Program. Through your amazing generosity, many families connected to Harbor House were able to enjoy the 2009 holidays filled with happiness, peace and some greatly needed gifts. Additionally, hundreds of in-kind items needed to keep our shelter running throughout the year were donated. This kind of generosity truly exemplifies the real meaning of the holiday season.
